Lindsay Mercer is a writer and planner with a passion for history, living in North Wales.

My enthusiasm for writing began while on holiday in Dorset, England. I visited a peculiar church on a headland which gave me the inspiration for writing my first novel – Portal (writing as E.A. Deane). Some years later, with the ideas already formed in my mind I started writing (maternity leave with twin boys gave me the perfect opportunity!). As you can appreciate, writing a novel is on most people’s to do list, but I never thought I would finally finish, and publish my book.

Thank you to my supporters and family members who believed in me and gave me the encouragement to see it through. Writing Portal has inspired me to write poems, short stories, and a biography. If you are on this journey of writing, then don’t give up keep going.
